BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette

Hi Beauties!

I am so excited to be writing this review! I have been watching Jaclyn Hill on YouTube for years, basically since the beginning of her YouTube career and she has grown and accomplished so much, and really is such an inspiration. If you haven’t seen her videos before, I will link her channel below, so check it out.

Last week was the launch party for this palette, and the pre launch of a limited quantity of the Champagne Pop Face Palette on the Sephora mobile app in ode to the live streaming celebration on Instagram and Snapchat. To those who were on Instagram during this pre launch, BECCA Cosmetics posted a photo informing followers to use #champagneglow via search bar in the Sephora mobile app, if you were on Sanpchat, Jaclyn Hill and BECCA Cosmetics both informed you to go to the Sephora mobile app and search #champagneglow to get your limited edition palette early. The palette sold out before the night even ended. Since I am such a fan of Jaclyn Hill, obviously I follow her on all of her socials, which is how I got this palette. I watched her snap all night during her launch party and when she snapped that there would be a limited release of this palette for that night, obviously I jumped on the Sephora app and ordered it. Don’t worry, this palette will be released in Sephora stores soon, and on their website even sooner!

If you follow Jaclyn Hill, you have probably seen her raving about her new highlighter, which is featured in this palette. Jaclyn Hill teamed up with BECCA cosmetics to release this limited edition face palette, and it is AMAZING. This palette is gorgeous inside and out.

The BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette features five shades of highlighters and blushes. When you open the palette, there is a full size mirror and the palette contains three blushes on the top, Rosé Spritz, a luminous blush that is a sparkly pink with gold accents; Amaretto, a mineral blush that is a matte toasted almond shade, and Pamplemousse, another mineral blush that is a matte coral pink. Underneath the blush shades are two highlighters, first is Champagne Pop, the highlighter from the first collaboration Jaclyn Hill did with BECCA cosmetic, this is a soft white gold shimmer with pinky peach undertones. The second highlighter, is the much anticipated Prosecco Pop, which if you follow Jaclyn Hill on any of her socials, you have probably seen before, this is medium warm gold shimmer.

How does it work? I love mixed the shades; they all go so well together. Amaretto not only works as a blush, but as a bronzer too. This warm almond shade dusted over the face really warms it up with some color (under the cheeks, temples, forehead and jawline). When wearing it as a blush, it is beautiful on it’s own, but also layered under Rosé Spritz for an extra rosé glow. Pamplemousse is very pigmented, a little bit will definitely go a long way, so apply lightly and build for a warm coraly pink color on the cheeks that is perfect for summer. This is great by itself, but if you want an extra glow, Rosé Spritz is perfect to layer on top. Champagne Pop has pinky peach undertones and adds a beautiful glow to the face, without making it glittery. Just a light application brightens the face when applied to the high points of the cheeks, center of the apples of the cheeks, nose, center of the forehead and center of the chin. Prosecco Pop has warm gold undertones, this really highlights the top of the cheekbones to give a strong beautiful glow, again this is great on its own, or to layer with Champagne Pop for a super intense glow. The highlighters can also be used as eye shadows, if you are looking for a quick easy eye look with shimmer.

So what do I think? Honestly, I love all of the shades; this really is the ultimate glow palette. The highlighters are AMAZING, if you are looking for a highlighter and do not know where to begin, I suggest one of these. I apply lightly, and build as needed; all of the shades in the palette are buildable, which is great for versatility in achieving the look you want. I will say that Pamplemousse is the most pigmented out of all shades, I definitely recommend tapping off any excess product before applying and using a light hand while applying, other than that, these shade just glide right on and give you an awesome glow, without making you look oily. This truly is a multipurpose face palette with endless looks to create. I can see this becoming a regular in my collection and cannot wait to keep playing with it to see what other looks I can create.

Finally, lets talk about price, this palette retails for $52.00 with a $136.00 value. It is on the pricier side, however it is a great value. The first BECCA X Jaclyn Hill collaboration, Champagne Pop highlighter, on its own retails for $38.00 and you get 0.28 oz of product. In this palette, you get two highlighters, Champagne Pop and Processo Pop, which are 0.19 oz. each, two mineral blushes, Amaretto and Pamplemousse, which are 0.12 each, and one luminous blush, Rosé Spritz which is 0.10. For the amount of product you are getting in this palette and the high quality, it is definitly worth the price.

BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette will be available on 05/26/16 at 12pm PST and in Sephora store 06/16/16!

I hope you enjoyed, and thank you so much for reading!
