Top Drugstore Foundations and Concealers

Hi Beauties!

Welcome to my blog and thank you for stopping by, and an even bigger thank you if you are returning!

I think good foundation is the key to achieving any desired look; after all it is the foundation for the rest of your makeup. I love drugstore foundation and concealer; the majority of my foundation and concealers are from the drugstore. And the best part about these products, is that they are super easy to find, most of them you can find in your local drugstore, Target, Wal-Mart, Ulta, Amazon and even some grocery stores. Don’t get me wrong, I do have some high-end foundation that I love, but for the drugstore price and quality of the products I have listed below, you just can’t beat it.

I have tried endless foundation and concealers over the years, some great and other not so great, both drugstore and high-end, but the ones listed below are my top choices.

It was hard to pick just four of each, because there are so many good ones out there, but I had to go with the ones that I grab the most, the ones that I have repurchased the most, and the ones that I grab for the most.

As far as foundations go, I like my foundations to be medium to buildable/full coverage, long lasting with a natural to matte finish. I tend to go for oil-free foundation and foundations specifically for combination to oily skin. My skin is constantly changing, so I like a foundation that is going to cover up any spots, but still let me skin breath. My favorite way to apply all of these foundations is with damp sponge (the Beauty Blender is my personal favorite).

– 24-hour flawless matte finish | Buildable to full coverage
– Lightweight | Oil–free | SPF 15
– Helps balance skin overtime with salicylic acid
– For combination/acne prone/oily skin
– Available in 20 shades | Comes with a pump
Revlon Colorstay has been one of my go to foundations for years. This full coverage foundation gives an amazing finish to the skin, leaving it flawless and natural looking. I wouldn’t go as far as saying that this lasts 24 hours, but it does stay on for quiet a while and does not wear off easily. This is a great every day foundation that does not require much work at all, it blends seamlessly with a damp sponge, and applies well with a brush, but don’t wait too long before blending it in, because it can dry quickly, which I actually enjoy when I am in a hurry.

Loreal True Match
– Matches your skin’s tone and textures
– Super bendable | Buildable | Oil-free
– Non pore clogging | Non cakey
– Radiant flawless skin | Natural finish
– Light to medium coverage- SPF 17 in select shades
– For all skin types
-Available in 33 skin-true shades.
I have been using loreal True Match for year, probably the longest out of all of these products. This foundation is very lightweight and give a sublet coverage that lets your skin show through, giving a beautiful natural finish. This foundation is on the more liquidy side, so be careful when applying not to over do it. I love using a damp sponge with this to help evenly apply this product and soak up any extra.

– Long lasting formula that fuses primer, concealer, and foundation
– All-in-one foundation | Flawless finish
– Last all day | SPF 20
– Available in 14 shades | Comes with a pump
I tried this foundation as soon as it came out, I thought a full coverage 3-in-1 drugstore foundation was impossible to get, although I still use a primer and sometimes concealer when wearing this, it does give a nice coverage, and pretty flawless finish that last the majority of the day. If you are looking for a foundation you can just put on a go, this is perfect for that although I do like to set mine with a powder and almost always use a primer (but I do that for all foundation).

Loreal Infallible® Pro-Matte Foundation
-Matte to Demi matte finish that won’t fall flat
– Lightweight | Longwearing | Lasts up to 24 hours
– Hides imperfection | Smooths skin | Medium Coverage
– Available in 12 shades
This is the thickest of all the foundations of them all. Infallible Pro-Matte gives a full coverage, demi matte finish. Although this foundation has such a thick consistency, it does not feel as thick on the skin, but if you over apply, it can definitely become heavy. With one quick coat using the beauty blender though, this foundation gives an amazing finish. I also love using this foundation with lighter consistencies to build up coverage and help achieve a matte finish.

– Exclusive translucent base and lightweight pigments allow skin’s natural highs and lows to show through
– Oil-free | Fragrance-free
– Natural coverage | Breathable
– Available in 6 Shades
Maybelline Fit Me is a great concealer, it is super light and wearable. I love this for spot concealing and highlighting. This concealers applies nicely over foundation and blends so well. It also applies under they eyes without creasing or build up, very light, with a natural coverage that lasts all day.

-High definition | Mineral enriched
– Lightweight | Non cakey
– Goes on like a dream | Medium to full coverage
– Available in 8 Shades and 3 color correcting shades (yellow, purple & green)
When I first tried this concealer, I thought it was drying, I ending up trying it again months later, and it quickly made it’s way in to my daily routine. This concealer is very lightweight and great for highlighting, it really gives a good base to highlight under the eyes and the center of the face. I never find this concealer creasing or breaking up.

– Cover instantly | Fights dark spots over time
– Concentrated Vitamin C formula visibly decreases dark spots in just 4 weeks*. Targets signs of aging, dark spots, acne scars and sunspots

*Based on a clinical study over 8 weeks
– Available in 5 brightening shades and 6 neutralizing shades
This concealer is great for extra coverage and a strong highlight. Although this is a full coverage concealer, it blends into the skin nicely and does not leave a heavy feeling; it also has a light pleasant smell to it. I love the applicator for this product; it is a puffy twist top that applies so gently. I like to blend this in a damp sponge and set with a powder, and I am good for the day.

Loreal True Match™ Concealer
– Matches skin tone and texture
– Hides blemishes and covers imperfections
– Super blendable
– Available in 9 shades
This is an oldie but a goodie. This is a great brightening concealer for under they eyes, it gives such a natural brightness to the skin. I also like using this for spot concealing, I blends really well with foundation and gives amazing coverage.

Thank you so much for reading, I know this post was lengthy, but honestly I could go on and on about these products. If you have tried any of these what are your thoughts? What are your favorite drugstore foundations and concealers? Comment below, I am always looking for new affordable foundation and concealers to try!

      1. Yes, it’s definitely a staple in my collection, it’s so lightweight, but gives a good amount of coverage. Not to mention the consistency is light so I like to mix it with other foundations of they are too thick or not the right color! I hope you like it!
