So I know I am a little late on a review for this palette, I have been loving it lately, and had to share. Urban Decay and Disney teamed up to create the Alice through the looking Glass collection, which features a limited edition eye shadow palette with 20 new shades and five limited edition lipsticks. Unfortunately, I did not get any of the lipsticks, because I did not think I would really wear them, but I did manage to get my hands on the eye shadow palette.
First things first, the packaging is so gorgeous and over the top, I love it so much! It is so delicate and integrate.
When I think of Urban Decay, I think eye shadow. I have always been a fan of Urban Decay, especially their shadows. The formula for these shadows is amazing, they are so creamy and bendable, they feel great on they eyes. The only down side is that, some of the shades are a little lighter than I expected when applied, but honestly, I don’t mind, because I tend not to go for really intense dark looks. But that’s nothing some Fix Plus or setting spray won’t fix. If you want to intensify any of these shades, they are buildable on their own, or just spray some Mac Fix Plus on your brush before you dip into the shadow and apply.
The palette is set up with five columns to represent five characters. The Alice shades include: Looking Glass, Reflection, Dormouse & Metamorphosis. The Mad Hatter shades include: Hatter, Gone Mad, Paradox & Cake. The Mirana shades include: Lily, Duchess, Kingdom & Chessboard. The Iracebeth shades include: Heads Will Roll, Bandersnatch, Salazen Grum & Royal Flush. The Time shades include: Time, Dream On, Chronosphere & Mirror.
So not only is the packaging gorgeous, the formula amazing, the shades are beautiful! Urban Decay created 20 new, limited edition shades for this palette, and I am so impressed. This palette is unlike anything else I have from the colors to finish, each shade is something completely different. The pictures really don’t do these colors justice. I love all of these shades, I probably favor the more natural/neutral shades, since I tend to go for them in general, but I am excited to really try out all of these colors and see what kind of looks I can create.
Urban Decay Alice Through The Looking Glass Eye Shadow Palette retails for $60.00 It is currently sold out on the Urban Decay Website, but is still available at Ulta and Sephora. I have seen some mixed reviews on this palette, but honestly, I love it, from the beautiful packing to stunning shades and creamy formula. I have loved playing with this palette; it is so different from anything else I have. So if you can still find this palette, I say go out, splurge a little and get it!
Thank you so much for reading! I really hope you enjoyed this post!
