Welcome to Trying it out Tuesday, where I try new products and let you know what I think about them.
Today I am writing about, The Estee Edit by Este Lauder collection that launched exclusively at Sephora early in March. This collection has a wide range of products from skincare to makeup; there is definitely something for everyone. The first and only product so far that I have tried from this line is the, Pore Vanishing Stick. This stick comes packed with some bold claims, so when I saw it in store, I just had to try it.
– Banish the look of pores instantly with a single swipe
– Pores appear blurred
– Skin tone looks more even
– Shine and oil are reduced
I love the formula of this product. It does not leave any oil or residue behind, and feels extremely light on the skin, which I really enjoy, and makes my skin feel soft and smooth, but I would not say this is moisturizing. It claims to control oil, due to its dual-action formula with an outer core of oil-absorbing powders and an inner core with a sheer pigment that fits all skin tones. It states it can be used alone for a natural-looking, flawless finish, as an oil absorbing primer under makeup, or to refresh makeup for a velvet-smooth finish.
I have been trying this product out for close to two months now. I have tried it with different moisturizers, foundation and powers to see how it truly wears. Honestly, I like it, but I would not say it is anything overly exciting. As I mentioned above, I love how this feels on the skin, it is so lightweight and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth, however it is not a miracle worker. I can still see texture on my skin from pores, fine lines and imperfections, but it definitely does give a blurred, even look to the skin.
I also love that this stick is portable, easy to apply and packed full of product. The packaging is durable and packed with product. It is great for travel or on the go, especially if you are using it on its own.
All in all, I like this product, and you get a lot of it, so I will probably have this for quiet some time. It blurs imperfections (but does not erase) and feels great on the skin. I also like that it is in a stick, it makes for easy application. I like to swipe mine across my face, focusing on my t-zone. You can swipe and leave the product, but I prefer to blend mine in with my fingers or damp beauty blender. For the price of $28, I probably wont be repurchasing this product, but I will definitely be using it while I have it!
As always, thank you so much for reading! And let me know in the comments if you have tried other products from this collection, I would love to know what you think and if I should try more!
