Hi Beauties!

Maybelline has been coming out with a lot of new and innovating products lately and really stepping up their game. Todays post is about some of their new products that I have been trying out, so if you are interested in what’s new with Maybelline, then please keep reading.

FACESTUDIO® MASTER PRIME® BLUR + SMOOTH | $9.99
Claims:
– preps for even makeup application by visually blurring skin tone imperfections and smoothing fine lines
– water-based primers
– helps makeup stay put
– does not clog pores
– apply all over face before foundation or wear alone
– Dermatologist tested | Ophthalmologist tested | Suitable for sensitive eyes | Suitable for sensitive skin

I like both of these primers. The blur + smooth primer has become my go-to everyday primer, it goes on smooth and leaves my skin feeling hydrated and ready for foundation, it definitely provides a smooth base. I enjoy the illuminating primer when I am using a really matte or heavy foundation just to help brighten and illuminate underneath, I also like that it has SPF 30 as well. I have really been enjoying both primers and am on my second tube of the blur + smooth.

I really like this Better Skin range. The foundation is great, it is very lightweight and feels good on the skin. It has nice coverage, but still lets your skin show through which is nice. The concealer is great as well; I have the lightest shade for under my eyes to highlight and a shade that matches my skin tone for spot concealing. Lastly, is the powder, I have really been liking this powder, it is not too heavy, yet provides great matte coverage and is also good for touch up throughout the day.

BROW DRAMA® POMADE CRAYON | $9.99
Claims:
– pomade crayon sculpts and tames eyebrows as it colors
– master the perfect brow in one simple sweep

BROW PRECISE® MICRO PENCIL | $7.99
Claims:
– ultra-fine 1.5mm tip and grooming brush to deliver micro-precision in every stroke

Unfortunately, I am not very impressed with either brow product. I like the pomade crayon, because it is easy to use, however if you are looking for something that is precise and really defines your brows, this is not the product. When it is new, it has a nice sharp tip, but the more you use it the more the tip rounds out and is harder to shape with. I am a little disappointed with the amount of product you get, it is not even the entire size of the packaging; what you see in the picture is what you get. As far as the pencil goes, it is great for preciseness, however it breaks very easily; you definitely need a light hand when using this product. I will say that I loved the shades I got for both of these products, and the formulas, I just wish they were easier to use.

VOLUM’ EXPRESS® THE COLOSSAL SPIDER EFFECT™ WASHABLE MASCARA | $7.77
Claims:
– bold sculpted volume
– maximum length
– spider effect

LASH SENSATIONAL® LUSCIOUS WASHABLE MASCARA | $8.99
Claims:
– captures lashes from root to tip for full-fan effect
– made with precious oils for a softer, denser finish

I am pretty picky when it comes to mascara. I like these, but I do not love them. I love the color and the formula; I have the blackest black for both and love how black my lashes are when I wear these mascaras and they definitely last all day. They both give definition to my lashes, but I wish they separated and lengthened more. I don’t really have anything bad to say about them, they are just not exactly what I am looking for, but if you are looking for a thicker, clumpier lash and not length, then these would probably work well for you.

FACESTUDIO® MASTER STROBING STICK™ ILLUMINATING HIGHLIGHTER MEDIUM-NUDE GLOW | $9.99
Claims:
– illuminating highlighting stick that adds targeted dimension to the face for the ultimate strobe effect

I love the concept of this product. I love that you can just apply directly to your face and blend in. I also love the shade, it is a golden glow that is great for a summer sun kissed look. I love that how blendable this product is, it blends out so well and gives you the option to build up to your desired glow.

 FACESTUDIO® MASTER CONTOUR V-SHAPE DUO STICK | $10.99
Claims:
– easy-to-use contouring and highlighting duo
– 2-in-1 stick creates the illusion of structure and lift in two easy steps
– Dermatologist tested | Ophthalmologist tested | Suitable for sensitive eyes | Suitable for sensitive skin

This is another product that I like the concept of, I like that you have the highlight and contour in one product. But after a few uses, I can already see that it is starting to loose its shape. I am not sure how well this product will work when you get towards the bottom, I feel like it will loose its preciseness, and I do not think you can sharpen it and it does not come with a lot of product. On the other hand, this is great for travel and convenience on the go, it blends out well and has decent pigmentation. I like this product and I will definitely continue to use it, but I do not know that it is really worth purchasing.

All in all, I like all of the products and they are all affordable, which is always a plus. The Better Skin foundation, concealer and powder and the Master Primers have worked their way into my daily makeup picks, I have even repurchased some of these products already. As far as the brow products and mascaras go, I like them and will continue to use them, but most likely will not be repurchasing. And for the highlight and contour stick and strobing stick, I like them as well, but again, I am not sure I will be repurchasing, but then again you never know, sometimes it takes awhile to discover how much you love a product.

As always, thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed! Have you tried any of the new Maybelline products? What are your favorite Maybelline products?
